Every installation gets a proper weather-resistive barrier, lath, scratch coat, and flashing at every penetration, so water that gets behind the stone drains out instead of into your sheathing.

We confirm what is behind the finish and whether it is sound before anything goes on the wall.

Barrier, weep screed, flashing, lath, scratch coat. This is what separates a veneer job that lasts from one that rots the wall.

Set and point
Stone is laid out dry, cut, set, and pointed with a joint profile chosen to suit the house.

Common questions

Natural stone or manufactured veneer?

Manufactured is lighter, cheaper, and has improved a great deal. Natural stone has depth that manufactured does not quite reach and will not fade. On a front elevation people walk past, we usually recommend natural.

Can veneer go over existing siding?

Not directly. The siding comes off so we can install the barrier, flashing, and lath against the sheathing. Anyone offering to stone over your siding is setting up a moisture problem.

Will veneer damage my house?

Not when it is installed with a drainage plane, weep screed, and correct flashing. Damage happens when installers skip those, which is why our scope always names them explicitly.
